Why Punjabis Must Be Careful About Blindly Following Leaders

In Punjab, many of us take pride in being brave, outspoken, and standing up for what we believe in. We often look up to individuals who seem to challenge the government, speaking out on issues that concern us deeply. But have we ever thought about how these people are able to speak so boldly without facing serious consequences? If a regular person like you or me tried to do the same, we would likely face trouble. So why are these individuals allowed to speak freely?

The truth is, some of these so-called leaders may not be as independent as they seem. They may be supported and controlled by the government itself, placed in the spotlight to influence the public in a way that serves the government’s purpose. This might sound surprising, but we must understand that the government knows how to maintain control. If they wanted to silence someone, they could. So, when certain people are allowed to speak out, it’s worth questioning whether they are really standing against the government or if they are actually working for it.

Manufactured Bravery

When we see someone bravely speaking out in Punjab, it’s easy to admire them and think they are heroes. But why is it that they can do this, while the rest of us stay quiet? The government has the power to control who speaks and who doesn’t. These individuals may be part of a bigger plan, set up by the authorities to provoke the public in ways that don’t threaten their own control. Their bravery may not be real—it could be an illusion.

These people often stir up our emotions, getting us angry or passionate about certain issues. But at the end of the day, what changes? Do we see real progress, or are we just being led down a path that benefits the same system we think we are opposing?

Agents of the Government?

We have to be smart and ask ourselves: are these leaders really acting on their own? It’s possible that they are part of a larger game, where their words and actions are carefully calculated to steer public opinion. They might be sent by the government to distract or mislead us. And while they seem to be going against the system, they may actually be protecting it.

The fact that these individuals are able to criticize the government without facing harsh consequences should raise questions. If the government really wanted to shut them down, they would. Law and order are strong in this country, and no one is above it—unless the government allows it.

The Punjabi Spirit Needs to Wake Up

Our people have always been known for their courage and strength, but we need to use our brains as well. Too often, we blindly follow these so-called leaders, thinking they are fighting for us. But are they really? Before following anyone, we need to ask tough questions. Why are they allowed to speak out when others aren’t? What do they really stand to gain? Are they bringing about real change, or just creating noise?

Punjab has seen its share of struggles, and we have learned over the years that true change doesn’t come from noise-makers who are working in the shadows. We need to stop idolizing these figures and start thinking for ourselves. Let’s look at the bigger picture and understand how these individuals might be part of a plan to keep us distracted and divided.

The Government Knows How to Run the Game

We cannot forget that the government has years of experience in controlling people and running the country. They know how to manipulate, how to create movements, and how to make people believe they are in control when they really aren’t. If they wanted to silence these so-called brave leaders, they would. The fact that they don’t tells us that these leaders serve a purpose.

We need to stop being fooled by these games. Just because someone is speaking out loudly doesn’t mean they are speaking the truth or fighting for us. They might just be part of the system that keeps us down.

Conclusion: Think Before You Follow

Punjabis are strong, and we have the power to bring about change. But we need to be wise about where we put our faith. Let’s not be led astray by people who may not have our best interests at heart. Think before you follow, ask questions, and don’t let your emotions cloud your judgment.

The future of Punjab is in our hands, and we owe it to ourselves to make sure we are following the right path—not one set up by those who want to control us.

The Changing Dynamics of Australia’s Rental Market: From Tenant Struggles to Landlord Challenges

In recent years, the rental market across Australia has undergone a dramatic shift. For many, securing a rental property used to be a significant challenge, with fierce competition making it difficult to find a home. However, this trend has now reversed, revealing a new set of challenges for property owners. My Experience: From Struggling Tenant to Frustrated Landlord I’ve personally experienced this shift. A month ago, I listed two rooms for rent on Facebook Marketplace, anticipating a quick turnaround. In the past, finding a place to live was a struggle for me. I made numerous applications, only to face rejection repeatedly. The high demand for rental properties made it nearly impossible to secure a home. Now, with reduced visa numbers and a slowdown in population growth, finding tenants has become increasingly difficult. Despite my efforts to advertise the rooms, there has been little interest. The same market that once left me scrambling for a place to stay is now leaving me with v...

The Reality Behind Sponsorships: Are People Getting Rich Without Exploitation?

As Indians, when we come abroad, we’re often told that hard work is the key to success. Many of us spend years working long hours, dreaming of a day when we can start our own business, get permanent residency, and finally call ourselves successful. But is that dream really as straightforward as it seems?  One of the most common paths people take after securing PR is opening restaurants, shops, or small businesses. On the surface, it seems like they’ve made it. They show off their success, flaunt their achievements, and become role models for those back home. But what often isn’t discussed is the dark side of this journey — the exploitation of workers through sponsorships and underpayment.  The Business of Sponsorships Sponsorship has become a business in itself. Restaurants and shops that hire international workers often promise the dream of PR, but in exchange, they pay them far less than what’s legal or fair. While these businesses claim they are offering opportu...
